The Cyberscience Center contributes to the design, maintenance, operation and management of TAINS, Tohoku University’s comprehensive information network service.

TAINS (Tohoku University Academic/All-round/Advanced Information Network System) is a university-wide computer network that connects the Katahira, Kawauchi, Aobayama, and Seiryo campuses, and is connected to the external Internet via SINET5 (an academic information network operated and managed by the National Institute of Information Science).
